A hifi salesman friend who was in the electronic industry for lots of years, came and listened to my home theatre system, he was surprised by the quality of sound.

I used an inexpensive CD player for more than 6 years. I had thoroughly clean and spray with special electronic contact cleaner to neutralise the foreign particles and air pollutions, rust in the electronic components.

I had been satisfactorily using my air condition for 9 years. I used a combinations of a special lubricant, which I use to lubricate my bike and electronic contact cleaner. All the functions still can be use.

To run your equipments optimally, you need to maintain it. Whether computers, hi fi or TV.

My TV lasted a whopping 11 years, using this simple idea, I learnt from maintaining the machinery. I felt this piece of equipment give me the best value. Mind you, my son watched it at least few hours per day, the picture quality is fantastic, after I sprayed it with an electronic contact cleaner. It neutralised away all those unwanted materials that stick inside the electronic circuit board.

You need to go to a shop that sells electrical equipments and ask for the electronic cleansing agent.

A well maintained car is like buying insurance for your cars, which give you years of satisfying driving experiences and safe you thousands of dollars and troubles.

Making machinery running most efficiently with the least effort, is the constant thoughts of innovators/inventors since centuries, people had been trying to find ways to make the wheels turn eternally or the most efficiently.

The recent survey found that the wheels are a more important invention than computers.
As you know got great difficulties riding a tricycle in my youth. Because of this difficulties, the motivation to find a way to solve these problems is very strong.

So how to make the machinery run the most efficiently is my constant thought. I had work in two major corporations for more than ten years.

When I was a few years old, I started to repair and maintains his bike using various chemicals. I regularly dismantled all the parts of my bike and put it back after he cleaned and lubricated it.

I learned to repair my bike from the old bicycle repairman, who repairs bicycles at made a shift tricycle stall near the roadside at Circuit Road.

When I when to work in a company I found that the machinery was not well maintained

Normally usually people don't use the right chemicals

A well maintained machinery can last longer, less down time or stoppages reduced wastage, use less energy, which is environment friendly, reduce the lost of man hours, run faster, cut cost & improve the overall quality of the end products.

With less energy to run the machinery, the environment become better. Nowaday with high energy price. Energy efficiency is very important

So these cycles are usually inter-related

As a result it improve the company performances and reduce the wastage and resources. With every increment of improvements in productions millions of units as were produce regularly. How much savings and redeployments of resources if you multiply by the units and years.

These are the secrets why the two companies I worked able multiple their earning a few folds

So I set my mind on how to made the machines run the most efficient way

I had discovered the real reasons behind why the breakdown of machinery

Most machinery after sometimes were clogged up because of the grease that attract foreign particles which stick on the ball bearings if more grease is add to it it attract more foreign particles and its only temporary solve the problems. Some might not know of these facts Understand the principle is important.

After I set and apply the chemical the machinery usually from the beginning to the end run with little problems

The alignments were out because the mechanics are usually with little educations, had difficulties in maintaining it and understand the real problems.

To solve the problems a special chemicals need to use to remove the foreign particles or chemicals before applying special lubricants.

And them set back the moving parts correctly is very important- through my years of experiences in working with machinery

The system of maintain the machinery which I had developed had help the two major corporations, I work in saving millions or dollars and improve their bottom line through my discovery.

The better question is how to cycle a bicycle with the least effort.

A few factors affect the smooth running of a bike. At heart of the wheel, which the ball-bearings were support by two nuts from both sides, the nuts should not set too tight, too tight the bike difficult to move, too loose the wheel wobble.

I got a standing ovations when I went up to collect my certificate.

Hope to share my amazing story. I used to spend a lots of time dismantled and maintained my bike when I was a few years old, so efficiency of my bike is very important as I practice a lot with it doing bicycle stunts. I am able to maintained the bicycle so well, I am able to do some amazing feats and break some records or possibly the world record with my bike with a economical bike because of my ability to maintain the bike.

When I was a few years old I learnt and observed from the an old bicycle repairman, how to set the wheels accurately using a small special wrench, which he calibrate and balance the tensions of the spokes of the wheels on both sides accurately.

And through my technical trainings in Upper Aljunied Technical Secondary School. I was ables to contribute to the success of both major corporations.

Because of my rough use of the bike to do stunts, I got to frequently repair my own bike, the skill I acquired to repair and set my bike to optimal conditions, which later were very useful in my work and making props for Chingay Parade.

I was very fascinated with how the mechanism work. Since my younger days, I like to read lots of books especially book on inventions.

When I work in a major newspaper company SPH as a printer , the printing machines were old and rundown and used to get all clogged up with all sorts of chemicals, creating lots of printing problems.

HOW TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PRINTING MACHINES OR YOUR CAR PERFORMANCE.

After months of trouble shooting I finally realised that there are
lots of chemicals sticking in the ball-bearings which created a lot of
friction whenever the machine were operated.

Understanding the problems was the first step to my success in clearing up this issue by applying the correct chemical lubricant at the right place.

Amazingly I was called a master printer by my seniors in work even I work not so long as them.

The foreman notice my special skill ability and always assigned me the critical functions of the
machinery that needs my to change the dampener cloths/setting of rollers.

My foreman practice his crafts for 20 to 30 years.

Everyday when I went to work, there was always a hole in the
dampener of the printing machine that I was assigned to, maybe he had created this opportunity for me, so that I had no choice but to change it.

He taught me the knowledge to set the printing rollers with his 30 years of experience.
I have to ensure that both sides of the rollers
force have to be distributed evenly so that when the smooth ink flow that will result from this action, all these required steadiness and
professional skill set.

Setting the rollers needs to be highly accurate as it control the amount of ink and water to the printing plates which in turn affect the end product. The pressure can't not be too strong or to light.

Everyday I was rotated to repair, set and lubricate each different machines. There are 2 sets each contain around 18 printing machines
He rarely asked other printers in my course, to do the job and
might be due to the fact of his previous skills in service clogged
printer. As observed, usually after I had setted the rollers and lubricated the printing machine, 200,000 copies of newspaper came out smoothly without any problems, right from the beginning to the end.

The foreman trusted me so much that he don't even need to check the print quality of the newspapers, and apparently it seems to him that he was very confident about the result of my job done.

Prior to that when I was in charge of the reel stands. We need to feed the new reels of newsprint up when the old reels were exhausted.
Sometimes I needed control up to four reel stand machines at a time.

For 1 months there are no web breaks observed in the reel stands that I control. Whereas there were frequents web breaks were observed from the other printers daily.

The final half year of his National Technical Certificate II course, I
was selected among all my course mates to major in setting rollers (which requires specialised skill set), repair and maintain the printing machines. To prepare the machine ready in the morning for them to run the machine later in the afternoon/midnight.

In these ways, through my skill, I am able to transform old, rundown machinery, through repairing, lubricating and resetting it, into machinery that able to produce over hundreds thousands of beautiful , high quality news prints with little problems.

The company I was with, having a net profit of $70 millions in 1987 the year when I joined was transformed to a company that every year increase it's profit to having $250 millions net profit when I left in 1992.

In appreciation of my contribution I was awarded the Printer of the Year Award & Best Suggestion Award, and received a token sum of appreciations featured in the company SINGAPORE PRESS HOLDINGS internal newsletter. Unfortunately the newletter cutting was lost.

When I joined a leading car company Toyota in the year 2000 as a security officer assigned by a security agency. I was still fascinated with machinery, as my years of experiences handling machery was able to put into good use.

With my technical expertise and processes that I had acquired, I began to transfer them to the mechanics working in the car company, as most mechanics don't use to be well educated.

During those days, company was behind Nissan in terms of
sales volume and had made a net profit of only $20 millions in 2000. After that every year Toyota increase its profit, when I left the company in 2003 , it overtook Nissan by doubling its sales and
achieved a net profit of $100 millions.

So I hereby like to share my humbling experience in the importance of acquiring the skills to maintain machinery and with proper application, it can made a big difference to the company bottom line.

The Toyota Bodycare centre Leng Kee Rd where I used to work , were quite empty during those early days is now lined up with long queues of customers.

In gratitude of my contributions the management asked , a TOYOTA lady Senior Claim Advisor, who worked in Toyota for a long time, to buy or cook breakfast for me nearly every morning for a few years free of charge.
